Here’s how to import images and videos from your iPhone on Mac or PC quickly, for free and especially without using a third-party application or service (no need for iCloud, no need for iTunes, etc.). To transfer all photos and videos from your iPhone or iPad you need only a USB cable to Lightning, the one provided with your iPhone or using an Apple MFI certified sync cable.
IMPORT IMAGES AND VIDEOS FROM IPHONE TO MAC (MACOS / MAC OS X)
Connect your iPhone/iPad or iPod via its sync cable to the Mac. From the Finder Applications folder, launch the Image Transfer application.
If you haven’t already, unlock your iOS device via TouchID FaceID or by entering your password.
Select the images and videos you want on a case-by-case basis or your entire media via the Edit, Select All menu(⌘ A). Under Import to, choose a folder already existing on your Mac of your choice (Desktop, Images, Videos) or create a folder for the occasion.
Then press the Import All button to start the transfer. It may take a few minutes depending on the amount of data. But this is the quickest way to proceed!
IMPORT IMAGES AND VIDEOS FROM IPHONE TO PC (WINDOWS 10, 7)
Under Windows 10 or other previous versions the process is not more complicated. Turn on your PC and then connect your iPhone/iPad/iPod via a charging cable/USB sync. Then go to Windows File Explorer.
Right click on Apple iPhone and confirm the Import Images and Videos menu. The number of media available will appear.
We invite you to click on the blue link “Other Options” to select the destination folder(s) for the files. In our example, we will import the images into the Windows Images folder and the Videos into the folder of the same name.
Under the field, Import all new items now you can add wording and even tags if you want.
Finally click the Import button. In a few minutes all your media will be available on your Windows PC.
