This is a big novelty under iOS 13 or iPadOS 13, the user can now enable dark mode on iPhone/ iPad. For the record, the “Dark Mode” feature is not just an aesthetic option. It has also been designed to protect the sensitivity of your eyes. We will show you different ways to switch to dark mode, manually when you want, automatically at nightfall, via the iOS13 Control Center or the Siri Intelligent Personal Assistant. If you are on Mac, on macOS Catalina (10.15) know that the equivalent function also exists.
ENABLE DARK MODE ON IPHONE (IOS 13): VIA THE CONTROL CENTER
Perform a bottom-up scan on your iPhone/iPad to see the iOS 13 Control Center display. Press the brightness setting for 1 second.
Now click the Dark Mode icon off. It will then switch to Dark Mode On.
You have just switched to dark mode, as shown in the capture below:
ENABLE DARK MODE ON IPHONE (IOS 13): VIA MANUAL OR AUTOMATIC SETTINGS
The other way to do this is to go to the iOS 13 Settings icon and then to the Brightness and Display sub-menu.
Under Appearance, you can choose to stay on the Clear option. So with the classic display.
Otherwise, of course the other alternative is to switch to dark mode by checking the corresponding box.
Once in dark mode, all the compatible apps of your iPhone/iPad take over the dark display (Safari, Mail, Photos, Calendar, Notes, Messages, etc.). If you check the box for the Auto option you will no longer have to choose between light/dark mode. This will be the “Clear until sunset (or custom time) and the Dark until sunrise” appearance (or custom program).
ENABLE DARK MODE ON IPHONE (IOS 13): VIA SIRI
The last method to quickly change the visual appearance of your iPhone from light to dark or vice versa is to ask Siri!
